jewelry store in 1976 while still in High School. Soon she opened her
first store Kathy Lee Jewelers in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. She
attended GIA in San Monica as a student in Residence and graduated in
1982. Her career has included Jewelry Design and Manufacturing
and had been the owner of her own jewelry appraisel company traveling
the country appraising jewelry for
dozens of Americas best known Jewelers.
In 2006 she joined her husband William as part
of the Pawn Central Team and heads the stores jewelry division.

Question: How do you evaluate jewelry?
Response: We look at
every piece of jewelry as a completed piece, taking into account its
design, where it is made and whether it is a signed piece.
Another important consideration is its maker: Tiffany, VCA or Cartier,
Boucheron, etc. We check metal markets at the time of every
purchase and update our prices to reflect currrent prices.

Response: We buy all
types of jewelry, ranging from contemporary jewelry to antique pieces.
We have purchased everything from school class rings to
18th century tiaras.

bring your pieces in, we can examine the items and make you an offer to

certain contemporary pieces, there may be some relationship to the
retail price, however, the most important factor is the desirability
and demand for that piece in the secondary market. The items
weight for precious metal content and Diamond and Gem values play an
important role in many purchases

Response: It is a
very easy one; our clients come in with their items and meet with
an expert buyer, we examine the pieces and make offers to
purchase. Should we not come to terms, there is no cost or obligation
